We are pleased to announce the submission of the Nebraska USF and E-911 Remittance Worksheet is moving to on-line capability! Access to the website for worksheet submissions will require a user name and password. You should have received a letter noting the user name and password for your company. A copy of this letter was sent to the person filing your company’s remittances, as well as the regulatory contact that we have on file for your company. A copy of this letter sent to carriers is also posted below. If your company has NOT received such a letter, please contact Brandy Zierott at 402-471-0246 or by e-mail at brandy.zierott@nebraska.gov.
To ease the initial conversion challenges, we will be dividing all current certificated Nebraska carriers into three groups:
| Company name begins with |
Data period to begin online filing |
Online worksheet to be filed by |
| A-J |
August 2009 |
9/15/2009 |
| K-M (and all companies that file quarterly forms) |
September 2009 |
10/15/2009 |
| N-Z |
October 2009 |
11/15/2009 |
You will only have access to the live website to file your worksheets when the timeline for your company to file has been reached, as noted above. A demo site will be available for you to familiarize yourself with the new filing process. You will have access to this demo site up until the time that you need to begin filing your worksheets online. Links for both the demo site and the live site are posted below.
Call-in dates and times have been scheduled to call in with questions or problems you have experienced after testing the Demo Site link. The call in dates and times will be between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm on August 26th, August 27th, and August 28th at 1-800-526-0017 (in-state Nebraska only), or 1-402-471-3101 (out-of-state). Please make every attempt to call during the dates scheduled, as we have dedicated staff to answer your questions during these dates and times. Posted below is a link to frequently asked questions (FAQs). Please refer to this document to seek answer your questions prior to calling our office.
There are a couple of important changes to note. First, companies that have applied for multiple authorities (i.e., IXC and CLEC) have been assigned more than one Nebraska Carrier Code number in the past. Please note that with the new on-line submission process, you will be required to file separately for each authority (NE Carrier Code). Secondly, if you are a wireless provider, you will be required to file a separate worksheet for the Nebraska Universal Service Fund and the Wireless Enhanced 911 Fund, unlike the current worksheet filing of both Funds on one worksheet.
We look forward to a smooth transition to on-line filing with your assistance!
